Libyan Academy For Telecom and Informatics

Who are we?

The Libyan Academy of Telecom and Informatics was established as a specialized national training and development company by the Board of Directors of the Libyan Post, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Holding Company (by its Decision No. 15 of 2021). It serves the telecommunications sector and the rest of the private and governmental sectors, and is specialized in preparing and raising the efficiency of human elements through continuous training, and provides studies and technical advice to localize technology and enable digital transformation in all relevant sectors.

We seek to address the gaps and challenges in implementing the digital transformation strategy in Libya by preparing trained human cadres capable of dealing with modern technologies and applying them in the field, in addition to developing the performance of workers in the telecommunications sector at all levels, to ensure a high-level performance that lives up to international standards and improve the human cadres’ professional and technical quality.

The Academy also contributes to the training of recent graduates and job seekers to cover the changing and increasing job needs, which will undoubtedly lead to institutional development and raise the efficiency and quality of economic activities, programs, and businesses.

The Statement of the Chairman of the Board of Directors

The Academy of Telecom and Informatics will provide technical and advisory support to the telecommunications sector companies as well as the rest of the sectors while carrying out studies and technical consultations to localize technology and knowledge and solve technical problems that hinder the growth of the telecommunications sector and other related sectors. Looking forward to a better future, I am honoured to lead this institution with a group of national professionals and competencies in an effort to devote all available energies and capabilities to moving forward with this educational edifice until it becomes one of the most important institutions locally and regionally.

One of the most important strategic projects undertaken by the Telecom Holding Company at this stage is the project to establish the Libyan Academy for Telecom and Informatics. It has a positive impact on building the necessary human capacities for the sector’s companies and for all the institutions and companies in the country in the fields of communications and information technology, qualifying human capabilities for market requirements, and entering the stage of digitization. It will also work on localizing digital technologies and everything related to the requirements of digital transformation. The academy will also create job opportunities for graduates in the private sector after qualifying them according to well-thought-out strategies and plans and in cooperation with our local and international partners.
