The Libyan Academy of Telecom and Informatics and the General Authority for Communications and Informatics signed a joint cooperation agreement on 8th August 2022.
The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Communications and Informatics Commission in Tripoli between the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Academy for Telecom and Informatics Prof. Dr. Majdi Ashibani, and the Acting President of the Communications and Informatics Regulatory Authority, Mr. Abdel Basset Al-Baour.
The signing of the agreement was one of the outcomes of the meeting held at the Communications Commission in mid-May in which they had discussed and exchanged views on the training programs that the Libyan Academy for Telecom and Informatics would provide in the field of communication and information technology to the employees of the Commission and its branches in various technical, administrative and operational disciplines.
The agreement aimed to set the general framework for joint cooperation in order to benefit from the capabilities of both parties and employ them to raise the level and efficiency of workers in the postal and telecommunications sector and in other public and private institutions to achieve common goals in the field of training, capacity raising and supporting development programs that would contribute, with God’s help, in raising the level of performance of the institutions.
