2nd Meeting of the Board of Directors of LATI, May 20, 2023
Within the framework of following up on the work stages of the Libyan Academy for Telecom and Informatics, the Board of Directors held its second regular meeting for the year 2023 AD at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in the meeting hall of the Academy, headed by Prof. Dr. Majdi Ashibani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, in the presence of the members of the Board and the Chairman and the members of the Oversight Committee.
The board discussed the following items:
First, it reviewed the academy’s activity report for the first quarter of the year 2023.
Second, it reviewed and approved the agreements to be implemented between the Libyan Academy of Telecom and Informatics and a number of local and international sectors and institutions, such as:
- The agreement between the Academy and the Ministry of Education regarding the implementation of the Libyan Olympiad in Informatics.
- An agreement between the Academy and VMware.
Third, it reviewed the latest developments in the Libyan Olympiad in Informatics project.
Fourth, it reviewed the latest developments in the matter of establishing the Academy’s headquarters in the Gezira region of Misrata.
Fifth, it discussed the mechanism for selecting a new member of the Board of Directors to replace Dr. Khaled Fawzi Al-Mufti according to what was agreed upon in the first regular meeting of the Academy for the year 2023.
Sixth, the board discussed other relevant matters.
The attendees made a set of recommendations and decisions, and the meeting ended at 1:05 pm. on the same day.
